Simplex Strainers
Simplex strainers are used to remove large debris from the fuel oil line. These are usually installed just before a pump or an automatic valve to protect these devices from harm. Strainers are also found on the outlet of pump sets to remove debris before traveling further down the fuel oil system. Simplex strainers make use of a heavy duty basket strainer.
These strainers are designed to allow for quick opening for inspection and cleaning. The baskets are large to allow for a large surface area to catch material with minimal pressure loss. The baskets are designed to allow for material to be held in the basket without affecting the operation of the strainer.
